CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Florence is very special city for Christmas Holidays. Here you can enjoy markets, food, shopping and magic atmosphere.This time every year florentines decorate thier lovely streets and make them look even more romantic and beautiful. The lights are already set up in the end of Novemer so guests and citizens can share the fairy tale the whole month before Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

The most fabulous path starts in the heart of Of Florence – Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore. Then lights will lead to the adorable square – Piazza della Repubblica. Take your time for listening to the talented street musicians, enjoying the sheeny environment and maybe having a cup of a good italian coffee. Continuing the magic path of the Florence, the next stop will take a place on Via Tornabuoni, just after the Palazzo Strozzi. The fairy lights of this charming street amaze people every year and bring the feeling of upcoming Christmas enchantment.

                                                        

The Christmas lights event in Florence includes video-mapping, projections, light games, artistic installations, educational activities and meetings in various locations of the city.

As usual, the most famous monuments of the city will be involved: Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio, Palazzo Medici Riccardi, Piazza Santa Maria Novella and the Oltrarno, with a particular attention to the towers and the gates of the city and the neighborhoods outside the historic centre. F-Light will also be the perfect opportunity to offer a new permanent lighting to some monuments or places of the city: after donating a new lighting system to the Loggia del Pesce, to the Basilica of Santa Croce, Piazza Ghiberti and the Mercato di Sant’Ambrogio, also this year F-light will bring a new light to some of the most significant and suggestive symbols of Florence.
