The 10th edition of the Florence Tattoo Convention will also be making an appearance during the first weekend of November; beginning on the 3rd (between 3pm and 3am) and finishing with a bang on the 5th of November, with longer opening hours between 12pm and 3am.
Viale Filippo Strozzi 1 will be the backdrop again to this occasion – found between the Spadolini Pavilion and Piazza del Crocifisso – with events galore during the entirety of those three days and three nights.
Look forward to live music, tattoo contests, art performance and exhibitions. Up to 340 tattoo artists being there, including Bill Loika (Sawyer Family tattooing), Davide Andreoli (Italian Rooster), Val-Tatboo (Artfaktors Tattoo studio), Ajarn Matt (Thai Sacred Tattoos).
Look out also for a printed programme and the many different workshops on offer. On Friday, for example at 3pm: three “intense” artists – Benjamin Laukis, Dave Paulo, and Murran Billi will be showcasing their skills, and will be even putting those skills to the test on lucky audience members.
Look out for Tattoo Anthropologist Dr. Lars Krutak’s talking about many of his experiences, including his exhibition ‘Tribal Tattooing in Taiwan’; delving into the cultural idiosyncrasies of the Taiwanese people especially when it comes to their body art.
