On the first to the fourth of September between 12 and 10pm, Florence will be hosting the final of Italy’s Firenze gelato festival. Participants will be judged by a jury of 7 masterminds, each with their own background of food journalism. After the first two winners of every stage of the tour around Italy are confirmed, 18 participants led by team manager Vetulio Bondi will eventually battle it out with their own individual flavours in an effort of being crowned the champion of Firenze 2016.
The final will be taking place at Piazzale Michelangelo, which is located in between the Giardino delle Rose and Giardino dell’Iris. The festival takes place amongst a variety of different stages, although tickets for ongoing stages can still be bought at the event. It is advised that you purchase a gelato card in advance online at http://buff.ly/2bud7Jt. They’re currently going for 12 euros each, you get access to 30 different activities, and you also get the opportunity to try the 4 unique flavours concocted for those to enjoy outside the competition itself.
